Alert message

All small business organisations should have appropriate policies and procedures to ensure that their work place and IT sytems protect and assure the privacy rights of staff, members and customers. As part of your online strategy, you will need a privacy policy which defines the assurance measures in place for the management of customer or member data.

It should assure members or customers that their data will not be used other than as stated, and that their personal information will be protected. Internal policies matching the external privacy commitment are also needed in order to assure the processes and limit any opportunity for misunderstanding about the most appropriate way for your team members to behave when dealing with customer data.
