Implement Organisational Change to Gain Benefits from Telework

There are three key areas to consider towards the successful implementation of telework into your business/organisation. Without this understanding, there are sure to be problems ahead.

The three key areas are;

    • Infrastructure: both physical and technological

    • Processes and policies: organisation culture; information management; time and productivity management

    • People: mind-sets, leadership and management; relationships and collaboration; and social inclusion through workforce participation.

These three key areas will be addressed in more detail in the section, Understanding the organisational change required to benefit from telework.

Implement a Teleworking Trial

    • for at least 6 months

    • only for a small number of participants, to allow successful monitoring and management
