Alert message

Social media is an opportunity to build trust and rapport, presenting your organisation as friendly and welcoming. Even though it is ‘social’ networking, it is wise to still maintain a professional voice when communicating with your audience and not speak in a disorganised or impolite way. It’s also important to consider that social media is predominantly a social space, so blatant advertising and incessant plugs will generally not be acceptable and may repel users from your business.

It takes some time and creativity to get the tone right - presenting yourself to your target audience in a positive light, but in a way that is not overly ‘markety’.
