Fixed wireless broadband is similar to the mobile broadband services available to ‘smartphone’ users, except that there is a rectangular, flat-panel antenna on your premises which will be installed so that it always has ‘line of sight’ access to the service provider’s transmission tower.  An important distinction between fixed wireless and mobile broadband is that with fixed wireless, the provider knows exactly how many devices are connected at any time, and the expected usage from each site, so they can provision sufficient capacity for all users.
